Bebe Rexha criticized TikTok’s algorithm for suggesting that users search for results related to their weight.
“So sad to see the search bar,” Rexha tweeted on sunday along with a screenshot of the video sharing app that offers “baby rexha weight” as a search option.
“I’m not angry because it’s true. I gained weight,” he admitted. “But this sucks.”
“In the Name of Love” singer, 33, shared in a separate tweet That she “always struggles” with her body, “A bitch likes to eat,” she joked.
When a fan tweets that she shouldn’t care what other people think and just do what makes her happy, Rexha replied“I work on myself every day. I’m just a little discouraged right now.”
Another fan pointed out that a weight loss ad on Pornhub used Photoshopped images of Rexha’s body to show before and after results.
“This just sucks,” Artist “I’m Good (Blue)” replied.
Still, Rexha expressed how grateful she was to her fans who didn’t judge her by her looks.
“Thank you to everyone who loves me no matter what,” she wrote.
TikTok’s search suggestions are based on trending topics. The platform did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Rexha has been talked about openly about her struggle with body image and her ability to love herself.
She shared on TikTok in December 2021 that she was at her heaviest weight after indulging over the holidays.
Rexha, whose real name is Bleta Rexha, tearfully said, “I just got weighed down and I don’t feel comfortable sharing the weight because I’m embarrassed.” “I feel disgusting, like I’m in my own body.”
The Grammy-winning actress added that she does not post much content on social media because she is not self-confident.
“I’m not feeling well and I don’t want to post when I’m not feeling well, and that’s really the reason why I haven’t posted anything in the past year. It used to be,” he admitted.
But Rexha also preached body positivity and encouraged her followers to love themselves, regardless of shape or size.
That June, she posted a TikTok video of herself wearing sexy lingerie, asking viewers to “normalize” women weighing 165 pounds. And in 2019, she proudly showed off her stretch marks as she rocked a tiny bikini in an Instagram photo.

In November 2020, Rexha praised her natural curves after she shut down speculation that she had surgery on her body while circulating outrageous paparazzi photos of her performing a beach gala in a one-piece swimsuit.
“I really want to show you how I look. Yes, I have hips, I have ass,” he said in the video at the time. “It’s really hard because sometimes I have a hard time loving myself, and when you see yourself b-that, yes, I have stretch marks, I have cellulite, all of the above. “But I don’t do surgery. I’ve never touched my body, I’ve never had lipo.”
Rexha says, “I try to be healthy and respect what God has given me and I love to eat and I also take medications that make it really difficult for me to lose weight. I’m fat, I’m a fat girl, I’ll take it. I was born like this. I always had a small waist and a big [thighs] even when i was a little girl. But I am not what I seem.”
The songwriter also used her platform to call for change, criticizing fashion designers who claimed her size eight figure was “too big” to dress for the 2019 Grammys.
