Ariana Grande is grateful to those who showed her support after the singer bravely faced body shavers.
“Shut Up Evan” podcast host and Cut writer Evan Ross Katz praised the “7 Rings” singer for advocating body positivity and self-love in a heated Instagram post Wednesday.
“I marvel at this amazing person’s ability to be gracious and compassionate and stay open in a world that continues to be challenged,” Katz wrote.
The author explained that Grande shouldn’t have to address her body publicly, and she owed nothing to anyone.
“I appreciate your willingness to use this as a moment to say something bigger about all forms of health and beauty AND to show love to the millions of us who struggle with our bodies and/or bodies. [sic] our self-image,” he said, and added, “We love you Ari!”
Grande, 29, reacted to Katz’s emotional message by taking the comments section of her post.
“I love you so much !!!!” Grande co-wrote it with a teardrop-eyed emoji and a heart-face emoji.

Katz’s comment on her post was filled with even more supportive words from adoring fans.
“We love you 👸!! Keep shining and spreading love and kindness ❤️,” said one person.
“@arianagrande i love you so much!! thanks for everything. you are doing too much. I love you. We missed you so much!!” a netizen said.
“No matter what anyone says, you’re a perfect goddess. This video broke my heart 💔,” added another, referring to the TikTok video where Grande addresses body embarrassments.
Grande, who rarely posts personal messages on social media, criticized internet trolls who claimed the Grammy-winning actress was “too thin” and unhealthy in a now-viral TikTok video on Tuesday.
“The body you were comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body. I was taking and drinking too many antidepressants and eating poorly,” Grande explained.
“Thanks, next” artist added, “[I was] At the lowest point of my life, when I looked like you thought I was healthy, but it wasn’t really my health.
The “bad” star went on to say that she shouldn’t have to explain herself, but that she wanted to be open and vulnerable in the hopes that “some good might come from this.”
“There are ways to compliment someone or ignore something you don’t like, I think we should help each other with that,” she said. “We should aim to be safer and keep each other safer.”
Grande noted that being healthy can look different from person to person, and that fans don’t need to comment on someone’s body even if they’re just voicing concerns because it can do more harm than good.
“So even if you come from a place of love and compassion, that person is probably working on it or has a support system that they work with. Be kind to each other and to yourself,” Grande said.
The “Victorious” alum concluded that people should avoid talking about appearances and love themselves because everyone is beautiful.
“I think you’re beautiful. It doesn’t matter what you’re going through. No matter your weight, no matter how you like to do your makeup these days, no matter what cosmetic procedures you have or haven’t had,” Grande said.
The ponytail pop star had to speak out against body shavers after facing criticism about her appearance when she was photographed attending Jeff Goldblum’s London concert last week.
“Ariana Grande looks alarmingly thin,” tweeted one person, citing photos of the paparazzi during the trip.
Another added, “It’s a very controversial view, but it’s seriously weak… I’m worried about it.”
Maybe the haters will take a step back as Grande announces she’s okay.
