Andy Cohen’s daughter Lucy hit a new milestone over the weekend – she’s 1 year old!
The Bravo personality posted a photo with his daughter on Instagram with the caption, “Happy Birthday honey! ❤️” to celebrate her April 29 birthday. In the picture, the two posed with a gold “1” balloon to celebrate her first birthday.

In a video he later shared on his Instagram Story on Sunday, 54-year-old Cohen marked the new age of his daughter, who was sitting at home with him.
“Today we start Lucy’s second year,” Watch Live With Andy Cohen said the landlord as she sat the toddler on her lap in her pajamas, pointing to the two small braids on Lucy’s head. “I did her hair this morning and you know what, she really gave in.”
She then turned to the smiling toddler and told him, “I really feel like you saw what I was doing and let me try.”
Sitting on Cohen’s lap, Lucy played with a balloon that her father of two said “loved”, as well as a maraka that Anderson Cooper announced was a special gift from his son, Wyatt, who turned 3 on Thursday.
“Little Wyatt Cooper gave him this maracas he really loved,” Cohen said of the toddler’s unstoppable toy, later conceding that it could be called a rattle.
Cohen, who is also the father of 4-year-old Benjamin Allen, explained to PEOPLE in November that being a father meant a “complete change” of priorities.
“I choose to stay home with them more than I could ever have,” she said. “I’ve never been a stay-at-home type, so my priorities completely changed.”
He continued, “Just when I think I’m really spending some quality time with Ben, I have to go to Lucy and sit with her and just want her to look at her face and hear me and give me a voice and know I’m here. It’s just a matter of juggling time management with the two of them. relating to.”
She also stressed the importance of being “supported” as a single parent.
“Make sure you get help,” he advised.
Cohen welcomed both his son and daughter through surrogate. Weeks after Lucy’s birth, she shared on SiriusXM that Ben and Lucy are “biological siblings,” despite not using the same surrogate for births.
Even as a single parent, starting a family was a dream come true for the talk show host.
He told PEOPLE in 2019 that he “always knew” [he] he wanted a family, but “as a gay man I never thought that was in the cards for me.”

When she welcomed Benjamin in 2019, it was because she “didn’t want to wait” to have kids anymore. “When I came to my family in 1988, my mother said she had to mourn the life I couldn’t have. And that life meant getting married and having kids,” she recalled.
“[At that time] people were dying of AIDS; [that’s] What was going on in the gay community? So after all these years, gay men are starting families and getting married. There were points where I thought it was too late for me or that I was really focusing on my career and I had too much fun to think about. He was still nagging me in the back of my head.”
