The 37-year-old actress attended the 69th Taormina Film Festival in Italy to support the premiere of her movie, just one year after the libel case against her ex-wife Johnny Depp was concluded. in the fireTalking to PEOPLE, he raved about the project.
“A beautiful film about the almost supernatural power and power of love. It’s about the limits that love can cross and its creation and really the overwhelming power that love has,” says Heard. “I don’t mean to sound cheesy about it, but this is a movie about love.”
During Saturday’s premiere, Heard walked the red carpet in a long black dress with a belt at the waist.
She had her hair styled into tight curls that fell over her shoulders, and she wore dark red lipstick.

In the supernatural thriller, Heard plays “a pioneering psychiatrist who sets out to treat a helpless child at a time when psychiatry was not yet a respected science,” according to a press release.

The premiere marks the first time Heard has promoted a movie since the libel suit filed against 60-year-old Depp has ended. The trial was held on June 1, 2022, largely by a seven-member jury. Pirates of the Caribbean actor, but Heard won one of his three defamation counterclaims.
Earlier this month, Heard was photographed smiling while in Madrid, following news of the $1 million deal he paid Depp and five charities to which he would donate the money. (The actress previously moved to Spain and now lives there with her 2-year-old daughter, Oonagh.)
