Amber Heard was overjoyed in her first big event since losing her defamation lawsuit against her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.
The 37-year-old “Aquaman” star appeared at the Taormina Film Festival in Italy on Friday, a day before the premiere of his new movie “In the Fire.”
Heard looked radiant as he smiled and laughed and chatted with his friends, cast and crew in the supernatural thriller that ended months before his trial began in April 2022.
The actress was photographed for the event in a white T-shirt and matching wrap skirt. She completed the look with a pair of black heels and she wore her blonde curls in loose curls.
Heard is expected to walk the red carpet with co-star Eduardo Noriego and the film’s director Conor Allyn at the premiere of “In the Fire” on Saturday night.
According to Deadline, the “Danish Girl” star plays a psychiatrist in the film who is “called to solve the case of a disturbed boy after increasingly persistent accusations that the boy is the devil.”
Heard’s last outing came more than a year after Depp’s lawyers proved that he had defamed him in a 2018 Washington Post column on sexual violence.
The 60-year-old actress filed a $50 million lawsuit against the actress in 2019, alleging that she lied about harassing her in order to get more money in her divorce settlement.
Heard was ordered to pay the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star $10 million in damages and $350,000 in punitive damages.
Additionally, the jury awarded the mother $2 million in damages for her counterclaim against Depp.

Heard asked the judge to overturn the jury’s decision and requested a retrial, arguing that the verdict was not supported by the evidence.
However, in December 2022, she withdrew her appeal and announced on Instagram that she had decided to settle the defamation lawsuit with her “Greek Diary” co-star.
“It’s important for me to say I never chose this,” he wrote at the time. “I defended my truth, and in doing so, my life as I knew it was ruined.
“I didn’t agree. It’s not a concession.”
The “Never Back Down” actress later moved to Madrid after the trial and it was revealed that she left Hollywood altogether.
In May, Heard shut down rumors of his departure from acting and confirmed to fans that he has several projects in a TikTok video.
“I keep moving forward,” he said then. “This is life.”
