Alexandra “Alex” Cooper’s fiancee, Matt Kaplan, wanted to marry Los Angeles-based designer Jenna Blake’s stunning ring.
The 39-year-old CEO of production company Ace Entertainment got down on one knee with a 5-carat antique oval-cut diamond in Blake’s signature single-prong setting, showcasing the rare gem.
The price of the large trinket is unknown.
The 28-year-old “Call His Father” podcast host detailed Kaplan’s romantic proposal on March 3 in a recent interview with W Magazine.
Cooper revealed that Kaplan had coordinated with his private memoir publisher and tricked him into thinking he was doing a photoshoot for a separate story.
“I remember feeling like he had no direction of attraction and I can tell everyone was lingering,” he recalled, conceding that the plan kept him “out of the house, outside.” [her] sweatpants and in hair, makeup and nails.

“When I got home that night, my entire house was covered with candles, lighting all over, music playing, and there was a scavenger hunt that led Matt to propose.”
Kaplan placed “photos or mementos” they had collected during their three-year relationship in “each room” of their shared home in Studio City, California.
The businessman finally got down on his “knees and said, ‘You are my soul mate, you are the love of my life.’ You’re making me a better man. Please do me the honor of marrying me,” said Cooper.
She then tearfully said “yes” and put the Jenna Blake ring on her finger.
Cooper met Kaplan through a Zoom job interview in 2020. Previously from him “Mr. Sexy Zoom Man” on the hit Spotify podcast.
