Alec Baldwin is officially back on the set of “Rust”.
The actress was pictured holding a gun in Montana when filming of the Western resumed on Friday, just one day after manslaughter charges related to the fatal death of Halyna Hutchins were dropped against her.
The scruffy 65-year-old Baldwin wore a brown jacket, gray shirt, trousers, and cowboy boots while holding his rifle by the barrel. His costume also included a cowboy hat and a scarf around his neck.
It wasn’t clear whether the “Departed” star had captured a scene at the time the photos were taken—or whether he was holding the gun like that as a precaution.
Filming of “Rust” was moved from New Mexico to the Yellowstone Film Farm in Montana’s Paradise Valley, where the film’s former cinematographer Hutchins tragically died on October 21, 2021.
Production was initially halted after the actor’s propeller gun fired a live bullet, killing and injuring 42-year-old director Joel Souza.
Souza, 49, is believed to be one of the few remaining original crew members on the production team.

The Santa Fe County District Attorney’s Office announced last Thursday that it has withdrawn the charges against Baldwin “without prejudice.”
The “Saturday Night Live” alum vehemently denied that the gun was triggered and pleaded not guilty in February.
However, charges against Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, one of Baldwin’s other co-defendants and gunsmith who was on set at the time of the shooting, have yet to be cleared.
As a result, the Oscar nominee’s role in Hutchins’ death can still be re-examined.
“We are pleased with the decision to drop the case against Alec Baldwin and encourage an appropriate investigation into the facts and circumstances of this tragic accident,” his lawyers Nikas and Alex Spiro told The Post last week.
Baldwin initially faced up to five years in prison, which was later reduced to 18 months.
