Alec Baldwin works to “honor” his mother’s legacy.
Baldwin, 65, remembered his mother, Carol Baldwin, in an Instagram post, a year after she died at the age of 92, by sharing how much she missed him.
“It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since the head of the Baldwin family died,” Alec said in a post with a photo of his mother, Carol. “There are still many days that can take our breath away, we miss him but we continue to work to honor his legacy.”
This Rust The actor invited his fans and followers to share, learn, and learn more about the family’s nonprofit group, The Baldwin Fund, Carol’s Cardinals.

Carol had six children (Alec’s siblings Daniel, William, Stephen, Elizabeth and Jane), as well as 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Alec said last year, “My mother taught me the second acts. She also taught me the third acts. She spent the last 25 years of her life as a fighter and champion for the cause to which she devoted so much energy. They are all extremely proud of her achievements.”
While announcing her death in 2022, Alec shared the following about his mother: “Carol Baldwin raised her children and last went to work in marketing research for a firm called Quick Test, which operates in a local mall, when she was a teenager. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1991. After she survived Joined a group of breast cancer support groups across Long Island to start an effort with SUNY Stony Brook.”

Carol then partnered with the school’s then-president, Shirley Strum Kenny, to launch the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund at the Stony Brook location, followed by a branch at SUNY Upstate University. “The combined effort has raised millions of dollars for the cause,” she wrote.
“My mom taught me the second act. She also taught me the third act. She has spent the last 25 years of her life as a fighter and champion for the cause she’s devoted to. We’re all extremely proud of her accomplishments,” Alec wrote in a touching Instagram post.
Baldwin also finished work on the film this week. Rust, more than two years after the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
