A24 has tackled another scary story.
On Tuesday, A24 – the company behind horror movies like midsommar, hereditary And Witch — released the first trailer for Talk to meA movie where a group of friends get together for a session gone wrong.
Their method of contacting spirits allows them to revive guests from the other world by holding a mummified hand for no longer than 90 seconds, because if more time passes than that, the spirit will “want to stay”.
Mia, played by Sophie Wilde, is introduced to the way she talks to ghosts and gets emotional when she thinks her late mother has reached out to her. According to an official synopsis, he and his friends soon “get a new thrill”, until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural powers.
“What if we opened the door but didn’t close it,” Wilde says in the trailer, and then warns about the malevolent forces, “They won’t stop.”

“Up to the handwriting, there’s a lore, a story, and a deep mythology. Even the spirits that connect with each character’s emotions,” he said. “Everything has been really thought through and mythologized, I hope we could expand on that if we could get a sequel.”
“We wanted the characters to come out of their depths. We didn’t explore that that much, so we kind of implied it with the characters,” Danny added. “But yeah, it all worked out, and there’s a whole Bible. It’s called the mythology Bible. So we have it.”
