New information about Coolio’s death comes to light.
According to the coroner’s report obtained by Page Six, police found three bags of drugs and drug-related paraphernalia at the crime scene where the “Gangsta’s Paradise” rapper was found dead.
The real name of the bags is Artis Leon Ivey Jr. reportedly owned by Coolio.
Authorities also collected “a bag containing brown powder, foil with burnt residue, straw/tube, saline solution, a spoon with residue,” as well as over-the-counter CBD products and vitamins.
The coroner’s report and investigative discussion allege that no illicit substances were found at the crime scene, which was Coolio’s friend’s Los Angeles pad.
The “Fantastic Journey” artist died on September 28, 2022, his friends suspected of “severe asthma” played a role; but it was announced on Thursday that he died of an overdose of fentanyl.
The autopsy report also noted that at the time of his death at the age of 59, heroin and methamphetamine were found in his body.

Coolio’s manager, Jarez Posey, shared that the Grammy-winning actor’s seven adult children – Brandi, Jackie, Melan, Christopher, Artis III, Darius and Artisha – plan to honor his legacy with music and emotional jewelery they’ve made before.
After their father was cremated, the group placed his ashes in seven necklaces. Each child personalized their necklace with an inscription.
Coolio made a will and bequeathed to his children $300,000 of his estate, including all his “personal and demand deposit accounts, financial accounts, insurance policies, and royalties.”
Coolio had a total of 10 children.
