Brooke Shields reveals it all in her documentary “Pretty Baby.”
In the two-part film, which hits Hulu in 2023 and is named after the 1978 film of the same name, the actress speaks candidly about her decades in the spotlight, including her many high-profile relationships.
From King of Pop to award-winning actors, here are all the men Shields has been associated with over the years.
Scott Baio (1970s)
Shields’ first public relationship was with Scott Baio. While the young stars may seem like an ideal match, the “Blue Lagoon” star wrote in her 2015 memoir “There Was a Little Girl” that their date was for show.
The “Charles in Charge” graduate also admitted that Shields was “just a friend”.
John Travolta (1981)
Shields’ mother, Teri, was reportedly matchmaker for her then 16-year-old daughter and 27-year-old John Travolta.
The model and “Grease” star remained platonic but developed a love for each other.
“Brooke is spreading goodness,” Travolta told People at the time. “She is spotless. You don’t want anyone to hurt her or say the wrong things because she’s private.”
Dean Cain (1980s)
Shields and Dean Cain dated when they were both students at Princeton University.
In his documentary, he recalled losing his virginity to the “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” alum at the age of 22.
Shields admitted she initially felt “remorseful” about how she had sex, and “immediately ran out of the room with her butt naked” after the encounter.
“I feel bad for that girl. She was old enough to really have her own body. And … I just couldn’t get there in that moment.
Michael Jackson (1980s to 1990s)
Shields met Michael Jackson in 1981 when they were both teenagers.
As rumors surfaced that the actress and “Thriller” singer were dating, she insisted that they were just friends.
“We felt safe with each other. We watched movies, ate candy and laughed at the madness around us. … We loved each other, but it wasn’t romantic at all,” he once said.
“We were like two little children. Since the day we met, we saw something of ourselves in each other.”

Jackson even brought Shields to Elizabeth Taylor’s wedding in 1991.
Longtime friends finally fell apart after the pop icon claimed they were dating while appearing on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in 1993.
Shields shared in her documentary that Jackson’s mother, Katherine, asked him to speak at the memorial service following Jackson’s death in 2009.
Liam Neeson (1991-1992)
Shields started dating Liam Neeson after graduating from college.
“I was very impressed with dating a real movie star,” she wrote in her memoirs. “We got serious after just three months. He wanted me to marry him without a ring.”
However, their romance eventually ended and the “Taken” star moved on with Natasha Richardson, whom he was married from 1994 to 2009.
André Agassi (1993-1999)
Shields and Andre Agassi met in 1993 and began dating by fax.
“We began communicating in long, rambling faxes about the strange burden of life, God, and fame, and overpowering parents,” he wrote in his memoirs.
“We knew deep down that we needed each other.”
The couple married in 1997 but divorced two years later. Shields revealed in her memoirs that the tennis professional broke up over her crystal methamphetamine addiction – she initially hid it from her during the first part of their relationship.
The “Endless Love” actor also shared that he would have tantrums and be upset during a scene that Agassi shot for “Friends” in which Joey Tribbiani (played by Matt LeBlanc) had to lick his fingers.
“It was a gruff act,” he told The New Yorker about Agassi’s response. “He cooperated [‘Friends’] emotionally for me because all of a sudden my focus shifted to him.
Chris Henchy (1999 to present)
After ending her marriage to Agassi, Shields’ friendship with producer Chris Henchy turned into a romantic affair.
She and the film director got married in 2001 in a surprise ceremony in Marina del Rey, California.
They gave birth to their first daughter, Rowan, in 2003 and their second daughter, Grier, in 2006.
After Rowan’s arrival, Shields said she began having an intense bout of postpartum depression; however, Henchy supported his wife in her dark times.
“Thank God he was very understanding,” he wrote in his 2005 book “Down Came the Rain.”
“I know I wouldn’t have been able to continue if I had been less patient.”
