Looks like J.Lo has “a bit of a backbone”.
Jane Fonda has revealed that Jennifer Lopez has not apologized for allegedly cutting herself while filming a “slap scene” in “Monster-in-Law.”
“Well, Jennifer – according to Jennifer – she had an enormous diamond ring, and so when she slapped me once, it went over my eye and eyebrow,” the 85-year-old actress said on “The Drew Barrymore Show.” ” Friday.
“You know, he never apologized,” she mocked, then as the audience turned into a sea of panting and chatter.
Drew Barrymore and Fonda’s “Moving On” co-star Lily Tomlin, who were also on stage, did not comment on the alleged incident. It’s unclear if Fonda was just joking.
A representative for Lopez did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment on the story.
In the 2005 film, Fonda portrayed an oppressive mother determined to disrupt the imminent marriage between her son, played by Michael Vartan, and Charlotte, aka “Charlie,” played by Lopez.
The funny scene in question took place on Charlie’s wedding day.
Fonda’s character, Viola, was memorably dressed in white to upset the bride, which caused Lopez’s character to retaliate by getting a slap match.
However, in the movie, Charlie immediately apologizes to his future mother-in-law.
“You can’t go slap someone and then apologize,” Viola says in response as the two share more blows on stage.
