Kevin Costner reportedly accused his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, of demanding child support payments of approximately $250,000 for his own benefit, not for his children.
The 68-year-old “Yellowstone” star claims in court documents obtained by TMZ on Thursday that her forensic accountant found that the 49-year-old handbag designer had spent more than $100,000 on cosmetic surgery procedures – and that’s the real reason she’s asking for it so much. money.
They also claim that Baumgartner dropped thousands of dollars in boutique shopping, ATM withdrawals, construction loans, attorney fees, and other expenses that had “nothing” to do with his children.
His lawyers did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment on the allegations.
Baumgartner, who shares 16-year-old Cayden Wyatt, 14-year-old Hayes Logan, and 13-year-old Grace Avery with Costner, previously claimed that the $248,000 a month he requested was “less than what is needed to keep children in their habitual lifestyles.”
However, the “Bodyguard” star said in new court documents that he believes the $51,940 per month he’s currently paid is the “reasonable” amount, according to TMZ.
Baumgartner filed for divorce in May, citing “irreconcilable differences” after 18 years of marriage, and the ex’s finances have been the biggest point of contention ever since.
Although Costner had a prenuptial agreement with his estranged wife detailing how much spousal support he would receive, he has recently tried to push it back as well.
In court documents obtained by Page Six last week, Baumgartner claimed that the former movie star tried to deposit $1 million into his bank account to “force” him to accept the “limited” spousal support terms in their deal.
“I cannot make this concession, I refuse to pay, and I have instructed our financial accountant, Francis Shelley, to return the funds to Kevin,” he added at the time.
Baumgartner later revealed how much Costner earned in 2022 to substantiate his claims, listing all of the “Let It Go” star and his family’s lavish spending.
Some of the most notable items on the list were spent more than $449,000 on beach club fees, with nearly $2 million spent on running their Aspen, Colo., home, and more than $830,000 on gifts and other expenses.
Costner, who earned $1,517,064.32 before taxes, according to the documents, previously pleaded with the court not to disclose his financial information, fearing “irreparable harm” would be done to him by scammers, thieves and “unintended and embarrassing global media attention”. ”

Meanwhile, Baumgartner tried to block another part of his prenuptial agreement, which detailed that he had to vacate the conjugal home within 30 days of separation.
Earlier this month, the mother-of-three refused to leave the ex-couple’s $145 million mansion in Santa Barbara – even though Costner was required to give her a $1.2 million property under their deal.
It was later reported that the “Dancing With Wolves” actor claimed he had no “legal basis” for asking him and the “kids” to break up.
However, Baumgartner reportedly decided to step back from that battle this weekend – on one condition.
According to Radar Online, Costner agreed to move out of his mansion if he coughed up more money to ensure he wouldn’t be broke.
