On a recent episode of This Past Weekend with Theo Von, the popular comedian sat down with fellow comedian Roseanne Barr, whose comeback schedule was canceled in 2018 after she posted racist tweets. Now, Barr made another alarming comment, telling him that “no one died in the Holocaust,” and then added: should to be. Six million Jews must die right now because they are causing all the problems in the world.”
It’s unclear whether he truly believed the Holocaust didn’t happen or if he made a nasty comment about what you are and isn’t allowed to say it online.
Barr previously attributed the cancellation to a racist tweet that read, “Muslim Brothers and Planet of the Apes had a baby=vj”. [Valerie Jarrett]”“intellectual witch burning, arrogance and ignorance. How did all the US and world press interpret the tweet I sent to a journalist in Iran without knowing anything about what happened to the people in Iran? We are under terrible censorship. It’s just scary and scary.”
He also blew up the old one in May Roseanne C.o-star Sara Gilbert for talking extensively about her cancellation due to racist tweets. “That wasn’t enough [Gilbert] He stabbed me in the back and did what he did to me there, but then he went on his talk show every day and talked about how shocked he was at my racism,” Barr told Megyn Kelly. “it happened [Gilbert’s] The tweet that canceled the show.
Barr, who is Jewish, spoke about the Holocaust in the context of his conversation with Von that he could not speculate that the last presidential election was rigged until it was removed from Twitter, YouTube and Facebook platforms.
“You know, you can’t tell if the election was rigged or not,” Von finished. “Correct,” Barr replied. It’s all a lie. There was no cheating in the election. 36 counties to be gives you 81 million votes. This is real.”
“It’s the truth,” said Barr, as Von laughed. “And don’t you dare say anything against it. You’re going to get away from YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and the rest because, you know, there is such a thing as facts and facts and we have to stick to it.”
“And that’s the truth,” Barr continued, “and nobody died in the Holocaust either.”
Von did not disagree with Barr’s statement in the clip and instead said directly to him, “You’re partly Jewish, right? And most of Hollywood is Jewish, right? They started Hollywood.
“Just like rap, Blacks started rapping,” Barr replied. “So I went out there and tried to rap and said, ‘All these Black people, you know, go ahead. Saturday night live Like Dave Chappelle. I’m just saying that the control of rap is in many Black people. Hello?’ Well, you went there. You tried to break into show business. Of course he’s Jewish. But you know, and people should be glad it’s Jewish, because if Jews didn’t control Hollywood, all you got would be fucking fishing shows.”
In response to Tuesday’s comments, Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt tweeted“Whispering or not, Roseanne Barr’s comments on the Jews and the Holocaust are reprehensible and irresponsible. It’s not funny. And shame on Theo Von for letting him go unchallenged and instead delving into conspiracy theories about Jews and Hollywood.”
