Kendra Wilkinson describes the time she felt “very lost” after her divorce from her ex-husband, Hank Baskett, that coincided with the end of her ten-year television run.
In the last episode of PodcastOne On Screen with Melissa Gorga, 38-year-old Wilkinson said she got divorced with her E! TV show, Kendra on top“It triggered my depression.”
“I got divorced, lost everything I knew, that was my TV show. I had a TV show every year until I got divorced,” she said. “Then I got divorced and all of a sudden, now I’m unmarried, unpretentious, I had to move into a tiny house – I didn’t understand what was going on and all of a sudden I had to do an intense healing.”
Wilkinson and Baskett, 40, got married in 2009 but separated after nearly 10 years and finalized their divorce in 2019. They share two children named Hank IV, 13, and Alijah Mary, 9.

“I haven’t had a reputation for years,” Wilkinson told the podcast host. Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Melissa Gorga. “For a really long time I didn’t have everything I knew. I didn’t know who I was. I was so lost.”
The apparent end of his reality TV career “made it impossible to be happy at this point,” Wilkinson said. “I didn’t even know how to be happy. It was my children who gave me this purpose.”
Wilkinson’s children also told him “survival, going on, taking them to hockey and basketball and watching them smile and do everything. They’re the ones that make my heart beat.”
After doing “some serious healing,” Wilkinson chose to pursue his next career in the real estate business. She then returned to television in 2021 with the real estate series she. Kendra Sells Hollywood.
“I was like a zombie who didn’t know what to do for a living,” he recalled. “No one pays my bills… It was very difficult. So, four years, five years later, I was like, ‘Okay, I’ve done a lot of healing. I’ve had a lot of healing from Playboy.’ ‘Okay, who am I? Who’s this chick? I don’t even know who this person is.'”
“I needed to figure it out and believe in something again, believe in life,” Wilkinson said, adding that he didn’t know his real estate career would be the subject of a show at first.
“When he did that, it was great,” Wilkinson told Gorga, 44. “It was like God was giving my life back to me. It was crazy, and I’m so grateful to have this opportunity.”
Wilkinson also says he’s grateful that he’s on good terms with his ex, and that he and Baskett had a “great marriage” but are now “great co-parents.”
“Of course, no one really registers in a marriage to get divorced,” she explained. “There were a few bumps in the road, but the locals made the situation a little bit worse.”
