Britney Spears’ mother, Lynne Spears, wants the pop star to reconnect with her estranged sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, according to a new report.
“Lynne is now begging Britney to sort things out with her sister Jamie Lynn,” a source told the Daily Mail on Monday.
“Both lean towards yes. Lynne knows that Britney misses her sister and told her that the feeling is openly mutual.
However, an insider claimed that 41-year-old Britney was still hesitant to reconcile with 32-year-old Jamie Lynn, waiting for an apology before considering it.
“Britney still thinks Jamie Lynn is the mess and if they’re going to meet, she’ll have to come to him, not the other way around,” the source said.
Lynne, 68, is “now figuring out how to make it happen” and “will not rest until everything is perfect again” between the family, according to the report.
Still, a second source stressed that the Spears matriarch was in no rush to mend their daughter’s relationship, as Lynne and Britney were still working on their own issues.
“Lynne knows it will still take time to get back on the same page and fall into all the right places for her relationships to be,” a second insider told the Daily Mail.
The source explained that Lynne is making “100 percent effort” to continue to “get stronger”.[ing]His relationship with Britney.
“Despite all the drama they’ve been dealing with each other over the past few years, Lynne’s recent meeting with Britney was a promising step in the right direction for better days ahead,” an insider said.
Britney and Lynne representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
The “Toxic” singer lived apart from her mother for three years, but they got back together last month. Britney later gushed when she saw “sweet” Lynne during her visit to her home in California.

However, Britney continues to get into conflict with her younger sister.
