A fan of Bebe Rexha was arrested after throwing a cell phone at the singer at her New York City concert Sunday night.
The alleged assailant, Nicolas Malvagna of Manalapan, NJ, has been charged with assault for the incident at The Rooftop at Pier 17, ABC7NY reported.
Malvagna, 27, is in police custody and will appear in court on Monday.
Footage taken by concertgoers shows the phone flying through the crowd and hitting 33-year-old Rexha in the face.
He walked away from the audience and fell to his knees in pain as members of his crew rushed onto the stage to help.
The show abruptly came to a halt when the Grammy nominee, real name Bleta Rexha, received medical attention at the scene. She was later transported to the hospital where she reportedly had multiple stitches.
Allegedly, the person who threw the phone was removed from the scene by security. separate video shared by one participant.
Rexha representatives did not respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Fans quickly enraged the attack on the “I’m Good (Blue)” singer on social media.
“Absolutely great show ruined by a fan who threw her phone at @BebeRexha, I hope she’s fine from now on,” one person wrote on Twitter.
“We were all having a great time and so was Bebe, we were all having so much fun, so who would do that??? We hope you are well @BebeRexha,” another added.

“Wow, this is so vile, disgusting and disturbing. Bebe Rexha doesn’t deserve this at all. I hope he is fine and I hope the person who threw the phone is charged with assault,” a third supporter broke in.
The Manhattan show was the 13th stop on Rexha’s Best F’n Night of My Life tour in support of her third album, “Bebe.”
Earlier this month, the chart-topper took to Twitter to criticize online trolls after being criticized for her fluctuating weight.
