It’s nice to have a friend.
Lorde recently shared a candid message between herself and longtime friend Taylor Swift, giving fans a rare glimpse of their bond.
The “All Too Well” singer told the “Royals” singer in a sweet message from 2017: “You’ll always be pictured on my mind in a rowboat where Annie Lennox is swimming in a cool river of cerebral etheric dreams, but don’t. —k-with-me vibes. around you.
“And I don’t think first-week record sales alone define a legacy,” Swift continued, referring to her friend’s “Melodrama.”
Lorde, who has been friends with the “Wildest Dreams” singer for nearly a decade, shared this text on her Instagram Story on Friday, in honor of the sixth anniversary of her second album.
“Taylor was very kind and not unfair,” he wrote on the touching screenshot.
The musicians’ friendship was sometimes complicated, as Lorde once implied that being Swift’s friend was like being around someone with an “autoimmune disease.”
“It’s like having a friend with very specific allergies,” the singer told the Guardian in June 2017.
“There are some places you can’t go together. Some things you can’t do. There are different opinions in friendship.

Although 26-year-old Lorde never mentioned Swift’s name, fans immediately recognized her reference, and the “Ribs” singer later issued an apology.
“I didn’t mention Taylor, but whatever, if–ked & that was really insensitive. Sorry,” he wrote in a tweet that has since been deleted.
It’s unclear how close Swift and Lorde are right now. The “Bad Blood” singer has not publicly reciprocated the New Zealand singer’s affections online, but Eras may have been too busy touring.
Swift, 33, is currently in her third month of her eight-month tour and will be performing in Minneapolis, Minn., on June 23.
The “Blank Space” singer recently had a brief affair with The 1975 frontman Matty Healy after breaking up with Joe Alwyn in April.
