John Slattery talks wildly about his friend Jon Hamm and his new fiancee, Anna Osceola!
Talking to PEOPLE at the world premiere on Monday Maggie Moore(s) Hamm’s director, ex Crazy guy costar is “a great guy” as he expresses how happy he is for the actor’s new episode.
“I mean, they’re so cute. They’re great people together. I’m so happy for them,” says Slattery Talia Balsam, who continues to tell PEOPLE how lucky she has been in her nearly 30 years of marriage. “So I couldn’t be any luckier, and I hope he’s as lucky as I am.”
Balsam, 64, was also cast. Crazy guy As Slattery’s on-screen wife in AMC’s award-winning drama series that aired from 2007 to 2015.
Hamm, 52, and Osceola, 35, who attended the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on Monday together, are reported to be their first reunion. Crazy guy It was established in 2015. They have been seen together several times and have romantically bonded in 2020. PEOPLE confirmed the engagement news in February 2023.

Hamm discussed his relationship with Osceola in an interview with Howard Stern on SiriusXM in September 2022, where he revealed that he might see her married one day.
“This is all part of what I’m saying. This is another place in my life where I feel very calm and relaxed. I’m in a relationship right now and it’s comfortable,” she said, adding that she was able to do that later on. “Sit down to really start thinking about all these things that make the relationship I’m in right now even more meaningful and open up the possibility of things like being married, having kids, defining a new version of happiness, life, and health.”
“Sounds like nonsense, but since truth and there is no better word, I’m working for it. What else is there?” He added it before confirming that he was in love.

Inside Maggie Moore(s), Hamm plays opposite Tina Fey in a small-town murder mystery.
“He’s a great comedian,” Slattery added of Hamm. “Obviously, we watched it. Crazy guy. We’ve all watched him fully experience this incredibly complex, highly intelligent character. He’s charming and funny.”
Good friends also worked together in 2022 Admit it, Fletcher – also with Osceola – where Hamm gave back 60 percent of his salary so that the film could be completed after the team had largely gone over budget.
Discussing Hamm’s mood in a 2022 interview with IndependentSlattery shared Hamm’s influence on people on set when he donned the Don Draper suit.
“People were catatonic when Hamm walked into a room in that guise,” the 60-year-old actor who plays Roger Sterling told the online newspaper. “Guest stars would sometimes walk up to him and his lines would slip out of their minds.”
“They don’t know what to do. It’s happened more than once,” Slattery said.

Returning to the carpet at Monday’s Tribeca Film Festival, Slattery tells PEOPLE he “hits early” on “day one” of the year with Hamm. Crazy guy.
“We worked well together and became friends, and that friendship has grown, and now, after 15 years or so, 10 years later – our partners are friends … we know my children and spend time together in various places.”
