Breaking Bad actor Mike Batayeh has died at the age of 52.
Batayeh – best known for his role as Dennis Markowski, the man in charge of Gustavo’s laundry. Breaking Bad – died on June 1, according to his obituary.
His agent tells PEOPLE that he died in his sleep after suffering a heart attack at his Michigan home. Batayeh’s sister Diane also confirmed to TMZ that the actor did not suffer from a heart problem and that his death was very sudden.
“Those who love her and her great ability to make so many people laugh and cheer up will miss her dearly,” Batayeh’s family told the website.
According to his obituary, his family also remembered him as “always passionate about helping the youth in the community where he lived and grew up facing similar challenges.”
Batayeh appeared in three episodes. Breaking Bad in 2011.
He also has credits in film and television, including a voice-over role. X-Men: Days of Future Pastand apparently america joke, war tea, Real Husbands of Hollywood, The Bernie Mac Show, Boy Meets World, CSI: Miami And Philadelphia is always sunny.
Batayeh was pursuing a career in comedy before her death. Two weeks ago, she shared a clip from a stand-up set she did recently on Instagram.
The actress is survived by her siblings Ida, Diane, MaryAnn, Madeline, and Theresa, as well as many of her nieces and nephews, according to her obituary. Batayeh’s legacy will live on in many of his friendships as well – evident from some of the accolades that poured in on social media after his death.
A loved one remembered him as “an old school friend who was loyal, generous, wise, and invested in the people you love.”
“The devastating loss of a huge life – Mike Batayeh, you were everyone’s friend,” the director and friend Rola Nashef wrote on Facebook. “And I mean everyone. The waiter I introduced you to, the waiter who took our order, the one you didn’t laugh, think, inspire. You wanted to see us all win… your sense of humor and talent for stage, screenwriting, television and film were genius, extreme, and fearless.”
Another friend of ours, Yorg Kerasiotis, added of Batayeh: “You were the superstar we always admired and one of the funniest guys I’ve ever met.”

Because Batayeh has a passion for helping the youth in his community, his family said that all donations made in his honor will go towards supporting and providing entertainment for Southwest Detroit youth.
