Is it too late to apologize now?
Justin Bieber’s father passively-aggressively apologized after he made a homophobic post at Pride Month and faced backlash.
“Is it offensive to adopt the nuclear family? Sorry for the offended. That was not my intention. My opinion doesn’t matter” Jeremy Bieber tweeted Wednesday.
Twitter users did not welcome the 48-year-old actor’s weak apology and began dragging him out.
“You knew what you were doing when you tweeted, and you also knew that Justin was going to be thrown under the bus as if he hadn’t lived before??????” someone wrote.
“You know exactly the purpose of what you’re saying, don’t act like a saint. If you’re prejudiced, so be it, but keep it to yourself” one second advice.
“You definitely knew you were being disrespectful and you posted it anyway” accepted another.
Jeremy found himself in hot water early Wednesday when he tweeted an obscene meme that netizens found homophobic.
The message, which has since been deleted, read “Don’t forget to thank a straight person for your presence this month” over a photo of a rainbow flag.
And just two days ago, Jeremy, who has four children from three women, tweeted that people should “celebrate the families.”
“You know why we’re all here! It’s incredible what this generation has glorified!”
Justin, 29, has not commented on his father’s posts, but it is known that he and Jeremy have a complicated relationship.
Jeremy wasn’t there in the pop star’s childhood, leaving Justin’s mother, Pattie Mallette, to raise him.
