Lance Bass claims that Britney Spears’ team contacted her to meet her twins, but they were never heard from again.
“He reached out through his people, he wanted to meet the kids, and all that,” the NSYNC alum said on Monday’s iHeartRadio podcast “Frosted Tips” while interviewing music executive Johnny Wright.
However, Bass, 44, claimed that the 41-year-old “Toxic” singer criticized him when his attendants “stopped” the meeting.
“You have to talk through people,” he said to communicate with Spears. “Pretty odd.”
The former boy band member became a father when she and her husband Michael Turchin welcomed son Alexander and daughter Violet via surrogate in October 2021.
Spears was still under conservatism at the time.
Bass admitted that she has no idea what the “Gimme More” singer is like these days, but hopes she will return to the stage in the future despite rumors that her performance is over.
“I don’t know what to believe because I don’t know how it is,” she said. “I mean, maybe he’s over-performed but I know how much you love him and I know he’s also a competitive guy, so I can’t imagine he’ll never be able to perform again.”
In May, Page Six privately reported that Spears would likely never tour again.
“Britney has the trauma of touring,” an insider told us. “For many years, even before he became a conservator, he was given grueling travel schedules and made to perform.”
The source added that Spears’ “breaking point” occurred when his Las Vegas residency ended in 2018, after which his team decided to “turn it into an international tour” with more than 30 shows in the US and Europe.
“After four years in Vegas, he desperately needed a break and couldn’t find one. And then they found the courage to book a second Vegas residency right after,” an insider shared.
But it never became her second residence, as the pop princess’ father and then-protector Jamie Spears sent her to a mental health facility just weeks before the scheduled start date in 2019.

Two years later, Britney’s 13-year conservancy ended and she regained control of her personal, medical and financial affairs.
After regaining her freedom, the Grammy winner married longtime partner Sam Asghari, released her hit song “Hold Me Closer” with Elton John, and signed a $15 million deal for an upcoming memoir.
But family turmoil continued as Britney did not attend her two sons, Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden, 16, whom she shared with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, at their Asghari wedding in June 2022.
The “Crossroads” star recently extended an olive branch to her estranged children via social media, first by sharing an old photo of Jayden and then gushing over Preston amid Federline’s plan to move to Hawaii with the teens.
Britney’s lawyer said last week that her client would “not interfere and consent” to Preston and Jayden’s departure from California.
