Amanda Seyfried is proud to be an example to her children.
Talking to PEOPLE on Thursday Crowded Room At her New York City premiere, the 37-year-old actress discussed balancing her two passions: work and motherhood.
“I kept my daughter on set quite a bit,” Seyfried tells PEOPLE about filming the upcoming Apple TV+ series. “She knows how much I love my job and she knows that I can be a good mother and contemporary artist.”
Living with her family in a stylish farmhouse in the Catskills, the New Yorker shares her husband Thomas Sadoski with 7-year-old Nina and 2-year-old Thomas.
Inside Crowded RoomThe story unfolds from the perspective of interrogator Rya Goodwin, who is tasked with interviewing Seyfried’s Danny Sullivan, played by Tom Holland. They shot from March to September last year.
“She used to sit in the dressing room with my assistant and paint. So my entire dressing room wall was covered with my daughter’s drawings,” Seyfried adds. “It was really nice. I love combining two lives, I love having my family come to work. I felt really lucky to be able to do that.”
In a previous interview with PEOPLE in September, Seyfried said that Nina may have already been bitten by the acting bug. The mother of two told PEOPLE that she would put her first Emmy in Nina’s room before conceding that her older child could work in the entertainment industry just like her parents.

Speaking to reporters after Seyfried took the Emmy home, the actress shared that Nina unexpectedly shed some tears while watching from home after her mother won.
“My daughter actually cried because she was confused about how I talked to her via television, and so I called her,” she said. “He’s supposed to be in bed. He’s going to school tomorrow! I didn’t expect him to react like that.”
Crowded Room After the first three episodes, it will premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, June 9, with a new episode every Friday until July 28.
