In an interview published with New Yorker On Sunday, the 66-year-old actress discussed how unfair judgment might be after watching a movie for the first time.
However, he added The Making of Another Great Cinematic Masterpiece writes, “Let’s face it: We’ve all seen movies we hate. I’ve been in some movies I hate. You’ve seen some of my movies and you hate them.”

“The first Rubicon you go through says yes to the movie. … You’ll be in that movie,” Hanks said. “The second Rubicon is when you actually see the movie you’ve made. It either works and it’s the movie you want to make, or it doesn’t work and it’s not the movie you want to make.”

“I loved making that movie,” Hanks said. “I loved writing it, I loved being with him. I love all the people in it. When it came out, it was totally rejected by the first wave of vox populi. It didn’t do much. It just hung around for a while. It’s kind of weird, half-replica of nine other movies and little beautiful in memories lane. It was seen as a tour.
“The same publications that now dismissed it in their initial reviews called it the ‘Tom Hanks’ cult classic, This is what you did!’ So it’s a cult classic now,” he added. “What was the difference between these two things? The answer is time.”
Hanks’ comments on his own movies come after he admitted earlier this year that he couldn’t watch some of them.
