Celine Dion announced on Friday that she is canceling her “Courage” world tour to focus on her health “with great disappointment”.
Diagnosed with tough person syndrome in December 2022, the “Because You Loved Me” singer shared a message expressing heartbreak as well as a list of 42 scrapped European dates on Instagram.
“I am so sorry to disappoint you all once again. I’m working really hard to regain my strength, but going on tour can be very difficult even when you’re 100%,” he began.
“While it’s not fair for you to keep postponing performances and it breaks my heart, we better cancel everything now until I’m really ready to go on stage again.”
However, Dion reassured her fans that she won’t “give up” and is “can’t wait to see” them again.

His team shared that refunds of tickets will be made through the original point of sale.
Stiff person syndrome is a “rare, progressive neurological disorder” that can cause stiff muscles in the trunk, arms, and legs, according to the National Institutes of Health.
When the Grammy-winning actress first shared her diagnosis in an emotional Instagram video last year, she said she was “dealing with problems.” [her] health for a long time.”
“I was recently diagnosed with a very rare neurological syndrome that affects something like one in a million,” he continued, explaining that it was the cause of all the muscle spasms he had experienced since 2021.
“Courage” was Dion’s first tour in over a decade.
It started in Canada in September 2019 and was initially paused due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The powerful vocalist’s persistent health issues later forced her to postpone her shows multiple times, with Las Vegas reporter Scott Roeben going so far as to tell Page Six that he “may not be back on stage” in December alone.
