There are some Taylor Swift fans who don’t think much of Matty Healy, the controversial new crush and lead singer of British pop-rock band The 1975. As we learned today, this sentiment is clearly shared by Noel Gallagher. The infamous lead guitarist of the iconic Britpop band Oasis.
in a new interview with RotateGallagher was asked about a comment Healy made about the possibility of a reunion at the Oasis in February. The musician said he thought the brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher should put aside their years of feud and “grow up, make the Glastonbury headlines” and “laugh”.
“Did you hear what Matty Healy from 1975 said about Oasis a few months ago?” Rotate ‘ Gallagher asked at the beginning of the interview.
“Oh, that bloody loose-jawed idiot. What did he say?” Gallagher replied.
“Among other things, ‘Can you imagine potentially being – now, still – in the coolest group in the world and not doing it because you’re in a mard with your brother?’ said.” Rotate transmitted to the guitarist.
“He could never have imagined that,” Gallagher replied. “She needs to review how shitty her group is and leave.”
On the Swiftie side, many resent their favorite pop star holding hands and making out in clubs with a man who, among other things, casually chats about masturbating to “Ghetto Gaggers” pornography on a filthy left-wing podcast. Healy also catches smoke for laughing at derogatory remarks made on the same podcast about Ice Spice, an up-and-coming rapper Swift is collaborating (very aptly) on a new remix.
Noel Gallagher’s involvement in the Taylor-Matty culture war was probably something none of us could have predicted, but hey, now that we’re here, let’s get Liam involved.
