In the new issue of PEOPLE, Mark Hamill and his wife, 44, Marilou York Hamill, say their preferred date night consists of cable and relaxation.
71 year old Star wars Icon says he and Marilou, 68, love to relax with some old movies on romantic evenings. “We watched a movie at Turner Classic Movies and ordered takeout,” says Hamill, remembering their most recent date night. “I live at Turner Classic Movies because you need to escape reality.”
“The fact that I’m an old recluse now has a huge impact on my date nights,” jokes Hamill. “I told my wife it was a pandemic, so yes, it’s tragic, but it goes straight to my wheelhouse because it gives me a reason not to go out.”
Hamill starring in new action-comedy MachineSpoke to PEOPLE for One Last Thing.
Last instant purchase: I recently purchased a DVD box set. Little Immorals on Amazon. I loved them as a kid. Now it’s so easy to buy something – not like when you really have to go to a store.
The last thing I misplaced: I need a case for my cell phone. I always put it somewhere and people have to turn the ringer so I can follow it.
The last time I saw the sunrise: This morning. I set an alarm but not for this reason. The sun was starting to pour in through the window and I poked my head out to see. I see more sunset than sunrise. I accept this.
The last time I was late: Never. My father was strict, so I was taught to always be on time. When you are late, you are telling the other party that their time is not as important as yours. So come on time guys. That’s the least you can do.
Machine In cinemas on Friday, May 26.
