Tina Turner and her husband, Erwin Bach, continued to expand their real estate portfolios until two years before the legendary singer died.
The couple, who got married in July 2013, announced in January 2022 that they paid $76 million for a large beachfront land in Zurich, Switzerland.
At the time, Bach told the local Handelszeitung newspaper that he and Turner had decided to buy more properties in the European country after gaining Swiss citizenship. (Non-residents are not allowed to own land in Switzerland.)
“[We] “Feel very comfortable in Switzerland,” said Bach, who was born in Germany.
In fact, they planned to use the house as a “new weekend getaway in the neighborhood.”
The impressive property features 10 different structures spread across five acres of land. It also has its own private pond, stream, swimming pool and boat deck.
Besides the big purchase, the couple owns another property in Küsnacht, where Turner died Wednesday at age 83.
A representative confirmed that the “Proud Mary” singer died after a long battle with an unknown illness.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner,” the statement said on her Instagram account.
