Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes enjoy spending quality time together!
Ex-boyfriends and ex-music collaborators were spotted holding hands as they walked the streets of the Big Apple on Tuesday. Cabello, 26, wore a white tank top with a black leather jacket and classic jeans for the walk. Mendes, 24, finished off his style by donning a dark gray muscular T-shirt, light-colored jeans and white sneakers.
This is the last footage of Cabello and Mendes after they were seen walking hand-in-hand on the streets of Venice, California, in late April. While neither confirmed the status of their relationship after announcing their separation in November 2021 after two years of dating, the two recently made headlines after kissing at the 2023 Coachella Music Festival.
The meeting was recorded with various videos of the festival participants. video 102.7 was shared on KIIS FM’s Twitter account, which showed them engaging in a conversation. Shortly after the videos went viral, a source told PEOPLE that the two musicians had been in touch and “hanging out” again for at least a few months.
“It always seemed like they had a special bond,” an insider added.
A separate insider source noted that Mendes and Cabello continue to spend time together, “enjoying walks during the day and casual meals at night.”
“Just the two of them hanging out. They’re so cute, holding hands and laughing,” they added. “They seem very happy to be reconnected.”
The videos also marked the first time the two were seen together in public since they announced their separation on Instagram in a joint statement.
“Hello guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship, but our love for each other as humans is stronger than ever ❤️,” both said in a statement shared on their Instagram Stories. “We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends.”

Before leaving, Mendes talked about his connection with Cabello in the summer of 2020, and talking to Audacy Check In about why the first few months of quarantine were idyllic for the couple and how this special time inspired their single “Summer of Love.” ”
“Feels good. It was like writing about the first few months of quarantine. Camila and I were very lucky because we were able to be in a sort of still moment, and that’s the first time in six months.” “We were going on bike trips in Miami and it felt really nice,” he said.
“Just kind of writing about it,” he explained. “I had a lot of nostalgia back then, and I think we found it much harder to connect without that time. It really brought us together.”
