Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, confirmed on Friday that she has been out of the hospital for weeks despite conflicting news.
“Update from the family: It’s sad to see how crazy the media is going,” Corinne, 29, wrote of the 55-year-old “Ray” star on her Instagram Story on Friday. “My father has been out of the hospital for weeks to recover.
“Actually, he was playing pickles yesterday.”
He thanked everyone for their “prayers and support” during his recovery.
Corinne shared the statement following reports that Foxx’s family was “preparing for the worst” at the time of her hospitalization.
Another source had falsely claimed that Foxx was on life support in intensive care.
But Foxx’s daughter broke the record and even said, “We have an exciting study announcement next week!”
Last month, news broke that the “Django Unchained” actor was hospitalized for a mysterious illness.
Corinne announced that she was hospitalized at the time for a “medical complication”.
“Fortunately, she’s already on her way to recovery due to quick action and great care,” Corinne wrote on Instagram.
“We know how much he is loved and we appreciate your prayers. The family wants privacy during this time.”
His health issues came after reports that he had a meltdown with Cameron Diaz on the set of his new movie. At the time of his hospitalization, the film temporarily took a break from filming, but resumed days later with a body stunt for Foxx.
In April, reports surfaced that Foxx’s health was steadily improving. And another source confirmed that Foxx is awake and alert.
This month, Foxx broke her silence amid the health scare and took to Instagram on April 11 to thank her fans for their supportive messages.
“Appreciate all the love!!! I feel blessed,” Foxx wrote in an Instagram post with praying hands, a red heart and a fox emoji.
