The Jonas Brothers are in love.
Ok, this is not brand new information. After all, they were also in love when they released their comeback album “Happiness Begins” in 2019. But now they Really in love.
The band’s latest album, “The Album” (released Friday), is a tender tribute to Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas’s wives Danielle Jonas, Sophie Turner and Priyanka Chopra.
Across the short but sweet 12 tracks—eight of which couldn’t even get past the three-minute mark—the Four Seasons are the most famous band to come out of New Jersey since the Four Seasons muttered about finding love, letting it bloom, and getting wet on every cloud. nine feelings in between.
There are many sugar harmonies, starting with the funky, staccato “Miracle” that glorifies the special people who come into the trio’s lives and change their lives forever.
During the chorus they sing “The devil tied my hands / And then you came like a landslide”.
The Jonas Brothers cited the Bee Gees as their primary influence for the “Album,” but the Laurel Canyon-like record is more “California Dreamin'” than “Stayin’ Alive.”
The swanky, standout “Montana Sky” documents their transformation from young Disney Channel stars to husbands, while the flamboyant “Summer Baby” recounts Kevin, Joe, and Nick “catching feelings” for their current muse and eventually becoming “your baby daddy” (Nick, “ I have brothers in their 30s in Jersey, but your heart is in my house,” Nick mutters.

However, like any relationship, the album produced by Jon Bellion has its low points. The jagged “Americana” pushes the boundaries of catchy to the limit of repetition, and shares more information about the Jonas Brothers than anyone needs to know, with eerily horny lyrics like the experimental “Summer in the Hamptons” and “I’m deep inside you.” sand / A different temperature.”
But a perfect three-track smack-dab in the middle of “The Album” makes it easy to forgive the bullshit.
The brass-heavy “Celebrate!”, which could easily fit on a Bruno Mars album, radiates so much joy it almost dares you not to get up and dance, and the autobiographical single “Waffle House” has been a certified bop since 2000. The brothers first teased this on TikTok earlier this year. Complementing the trio, “Holiday Eyes” is a gorgeous mid-tempo beat about falling so madly in love with a partner that it feels like a sunny day off with them every day.
But the most special moment is “Little Bird,” an acoustic ballad dedicated to the collective five daughters of Kevin, Joe, and Nick. The trio savor the present (“Please hold me in your heart as I fly into someone else’s arms”) before looking to the future when their daughter is fully grown (“Little hands gripping my finger”).
It’s a reminder that the Jonas Brothers, who were just kids themselves when they reached fame, will always be family men – even if that seems a little different these days.
