Madonna snapped a series of unfiltered photos while hanging out with Julia Garner, the star of her canceled bio.
The 64-year-old “Material Girl” singer was photographed with Garner, 29, at photographer Steven Klein’s birthday party at Journey NYC in downtown Manhattan on Sunday.
The intimate party took place in the 360 Room, where guests “dine in a virtual Zepplin that travels through New York City to volcanoes, underwater, and into space.”
An insider tells Page Six that the entire restaurant area is reserved for the photographer and his friends.
Madonna is a longtime friend of the photographer and they have worked together many times over the years.
“It’s rare to meet another person tuned to your frequency,” he told Vanity Fair last year. “This is why our collaborations are often disturbing but always epic.”
Meanwhile, Garner was due to star as the “Vogue” singer in a biopic for which Madonna was written and planned to direct.

The “Ozark” star was rumored to have outgrown some tough competition for the role, including “Litte Women” star Florence Pugh, “Euphoria” star Alexa Demie, actress Odessa Young, and singer Bebe Rexha. According to Variety, women vying for the coveted role had to attend a grueling training camp-like session to see if they had what it takes.
“I’ve had an extraordinary life, I have to make an extraordinary movie,” the “Like a Virgin” singer said in July last year. “It was also a preemptive attack because a lot of people were trying to make movies about me. Mostly misogynistic men. So I put my foot in the door and said, ‘No one will tell my story but me!’ I said.”
But the plans were shelved earlier this year.
Pre-production of the film has reportedly been halted at Universal Pictures due to preparations for a massive world tour called Madonna’s “Celebration” tour.
Announced in January, the tour will celebrate the Queen of Pop’s forty-year career and take her to 35 cities around the world.
It starts in Vancouver on July 15, moves to North America, and then ends in Europe before ending on December 1.
“I’m excited to discover as many songs as possible in the hopes of giving my fans the show they’ve been waiting for,” he told Page Six.
The “Evita” star has been in the news lately not just for her tour announcement, but for her looks as well.
It quickly went viral after fans noticed how different her face looked when she appeared at the Grammys in February.
Days after the turmoil, Madonna criticized the trolls and wrote that she was “stunned by the glare of ageism and misogyny that permeates the world we live in”.
