Naomi Watts isn’t ready to expose her engagement to Billy Crudup.
The actor was timid about his relationship status when he appeared on “Today” Thursday with a giant sparkler on his left ring finger.
Hoda Kotb, in an interview about menopause, spoke to the 54-year-old saying that her “eye hurts” from the sparkle of the jewelry.
“It’s like a big glow from a ring here,” the 58-year-old journalist joked. “It hit me, but it’s beautiful.”
As Watts just laughed, Kotb co-host Savannah Guthrie interrupted, “Hoda is asking if you’re engaged.”
The “Twin Peaks” graduate jokingly declined to answer, blaming “brain fog”.
Kotb didn’t push Watts any further and said, “Whatever you wear, you wear it very well.”
Since Watts’ ring first made headlines earlier this month, she and Crudup, 54, have yet to address rumors of their engagement.
Watts and the “Morning Show” star began dating in 2017, a year after breaking up with longtime boyfriend Liev Schrieber.

The former couple had been together for 11 years and welcomed two children – Sasha, 15, and Kai, 14 – before splitting up.
Schreiber is now reportedly expecting baby number 3 with model girlfriend Taylor Neisen.
Crudup, for her part, is best known for dating Mary-Louise Parker from 1996 to 2003, getting her “Weeds” alum Claire Danes seven months pregnant.
She and her “Stage Beauty” co-star broke up in 2006.
Watts and Crudup have been secretive about their love since they met on the set of “Gypsy” in 2017.
The couple waited for the 2022 SAG Awards to make their red carpet debut.
This Valentine’s Day, Watts kept her tribute to her partner short and sweet on Instagram, calling Crudup “darling” in a selfie.
