Paula Abdul is directly blessed.
The 60-year-old pop icon revealed the secret to her youthful looks in an exclusive interview with Page Six at Saturday night’s Homeless Not Toothless Hollywood Gala in Los Angeles.
“I always say, ‘Thank you, Dad.’ My father is Syrian and Brazilian,” he said, acknowledging the genetics inherited from his late father, Harry Abdul, who he loved dearly, as he folded his hands in prayer and looked up.
Paula also credited her late mother, Lorraine M. Abdul, with whom she was very close.
“And my mother had [a] beautiful fair-skinned,” the Grammy winner remarked, acknowledging that she inherited “the best of both parents.”

As talented as the singer, dancer, and choreographer is, she has been equally praised for her stunning looks throughout her decades-long career.
She looked particularly young in a series of social media photos taken at her close friend Kathy Hilton’s annual Christmas party in December 2022. Many fans even expressed disbelief in Paula’s cheerful glow, assuming it was the result of copious amounts of Photoshop.
“holy s–t!! She looks like a little girl,” commented, while another said, “The arrangement here is embarrassingly clear.”
But at Saturday’s charity event—directed by “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Dorit Kemsley—untroubled Paula suggested that her fresh face was simply hereditary.
“I got lucky [my father’s] genes,” the Grammy winner told us.
Paula arrived at the Beverly Hilton hotel in a gorgeous red dress and sparkling diamonds to support Homeless Not Toothless.
The nonprofit was founded in 1992 to provide dental care to disadvantaged communities in Los Angeles, including veterans, the homeless, foster youth, and low-income people.
“It’s a great reason. Everything that gives people confidence and strives to be a part of the world, that lives, works, that gives them the confidence that they can do that, starts with a smile,” he said. “It really is.”
Paula says, “Once they figure that out… they relax, they just smile, they get a new perspective on life, and it changes the course of their lives.”
The “Forever Your Girl” singer was present to announce the evening’s silent auction and to introduce special guest artist Taylor Dayne.
Dayne, 61, sang her hits to a crowd that included the “RHOBH” cast, as well as Kemsley’s board members William H. Macy and Sharon Stone. The festivities have been recorded for the upcoming 13th season of the Bravo reality show.
