An occasional romantic bond since the 2000s, Nelly and Ashanti are once again fueling romance rumors after being spotted together in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
The duo sat at ringside for the boxing match between Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia, and many of their fans are using social media to weigh their potentially rekindled romance.
While Nelly, 48, and Ashanti, 42, appeared to have disappeared during the actual fight, video footage from the incident showed the musicians holding hands as they exited the venue.
“Hey mo! I know we really disagree but from younger brother to big brother STOP PLAYING AND MARRY THIS SISTER! rapper Bow Wow wrote in the comments section of an Instagram post from The Shade Room.
“You love 50 😂 sit your old ass on the floor 😂😂😂😂😂 this is your queen.”
Many agreed with the “Bounce With Me” rapper and wrote things like “They’re definitely getting back together”. That’s why I’m here” and “I think we all want them to get married already.”
Someone else intervened and said, “At this point, why not! But Nelly better open that ring. Yesterday’s price is NOT today’s price 😂.”
Nelly and Ashanti have yet to publicly confirm or deny that they are officially back or just being good industry buddies. However, this is definitely not their first encounter with love rumors in recent months.

“My reaction was, ‘Wow. There were a lot of comments and a lot of people asking for it. [us back together]” he said at the time, in response to fans seeing him squeak in his old flame following his split from Shantel Jackson in 2021.
“What I will say is, we are in a better place. You know, because before, it was like [mimics fighting]. But we are fine now. Yes, we have some conversations, you know. So it’s great.”
Cohen continued to press Ashanti on the matter and asked, “But aren’t you getting back together?”
The “stupid” singer struggled to find words and simply replied, “So, I…”
Representatives for Nelly and Ashanti did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
The two previously had a long history of staying quiet about the terms of their relationship over the years. However, Ashanti admitted that Nelly was her first true love in an interview with “Sway in the Morning” in 2014.
“This is a very small industry. Will we see each other? Yeah… I’m not bitter,” she later told Hot 97.
“I feel like I’m in a relationship, like table tennis. Sometimes you love them, sometimes you hate them. It’s a true statement, everybody goes through it.”
